Ten years οf ancient Greek vinification by Helession
The first ten years are difficult. Then, the difficulties continue, but if you’re still alive … it means you have a springboard, knowledge, courage and all the precious things you need to achieve a decent goal and keep going.
At the Environment and Nutrition Organization Helession, we aim to Rescue, Preserve and Spread our Nutritional Heritage, to continue Life, to Preserve the Environment and Biodiversity.
and we celebrate it on a beautiful symposium.
Not because we like the fiesta, but because our people are used to the mental stimulation festivity, both before the battle … and after the victory!
We decided to blow out the ten birthday candles and have fun with friends and supporters, in order to send out the message that:
Here in this small and greatest homeland…
it’s not all over!
It is worth fighting and changing priorities, capitalizing on our ancestors’ stockpile. Τhis is what matters, as a way out of the darkness, the wondrous travels in the future, taking advantage of Tradition and with the Help of Nature.
In the ten years of the Helession Org., we have researched, traced, recorded and regenerated the wild and traditional vines of mountains Giona and Oiti.
After many years of research, in 2008 we created the first organic wine of natural vinification without the addition of sulfate preservatives – based on ancient Greek standards – which over time has become better.
Also, “Stafylomelo”, “Hedylli”, wild rice “Ryzes”, as well as all our other products, are the result of natural biological cultivation and processing with … innovation diploma!
With the creation of Helession Org. the first important step for the gradually growing production of live wines has been made, which are a gift to the human body and a breakthrough in wine-making internationally.
A course that was not paved with rose petals.
Idea, dreams, endless discussions, expectations, instant frustrations, a lot of work, hundreds of promotional texts, standing, endless kilometers, lumbago, stomachache, nerves, crying … But also good words, smiles, hugs, optimism, successes, innovations, pride, hopes and … new goals!
… Because we continue! Because we won the bet, despite the initial discouragement by … experts and without any state funding.

- Welcome by Mr. Spyros Mercouris.
- Opening of an Ancient Hellenic symposium with musical events by the Hellenic Music Centre “LyrAvlos”, brief references and their connection with the evolution of wine and music until the 20th century.
- Βrief speeches and presentation of the goals and innovations of the Organization Helession.
- Live rebetiko – folk program by “LRA Band” with Anatoli Margiola.
- Exhibition – tasting of the innovative products by Helession Org.
- Buffet accompanying the symposium.
